In Christ Alone

The timing is very interesting.  After posting this song's lyric, I noticed the last time I wrote was last year around Easter, too.  At the time, I also posted a song's lyric.  And guess what?  It's the same name as what I'm posting right now.  So I decided to come back and write something.

Both songs have the same name, except they are so different in that one is sad and one is full of hope.  But both put the faith in Christ alone.  Last year this time, I was feeling really sad and hopeless.  Both physically and mentally I was at a low point in life.  I was crying out to God for help.  I could not see the end of the tunnel.  This year I'm in a much better place...on the way to recovery and stronger bond with God.  When I heard this song by Brian Littrell (and yes, he's one-fifth of the Backstreet Boys), I felt in love with it.  So I decided to share it in my blog.  I hope whoever is reading it will like it, too.
In Christ alone will I glory
Though I could pride myself in battles won
For I've been blessed beyond measure
And by His strength alone I'll overcome
Oh, I could stop and count success like diamonds in my hands
But those trophies could not equal to the grace by which I stand

Chorus:
In Christ alone
I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the cross
In every victory
Let it be said of me
My source of strength
My source of hope
Is Christ alone

In Christ alone do I glory
For only by His grace I am redeemed
For only His tender mercy
Could reach beyond my weakness to my need
And now I see no greater honor in just to know Him more
And to count my gains but losses to the glory of my Lord

Chorus:
